Congratulations to the Cardinals swim & dive team for their performance at the state championships in Auburn on December 6th and 7th.
The boys' team narrowly missed winning the state championship outright, instead winning the "Red Map" trophy as the state runners-up. Meanwhile, the St. Michael girls finished 7th in the state overall.
For the weekend, St. Michael students were individual state champions in SEVEN events! Ben Adamski was the state 1A-5A state diving champion; Lucy O'Neil was the state champ in the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly (in the butterfly, she was first in ALL classifications and set a 5A state record in the process); Andrew Fouty won the state championship in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke; Sara Kate Sligh won the state championship in para 50 freestyle and para 100 breaststroke, setting state records in both.
