Key Club recently expanded its Box of Joy service project and invited the whole school to participate.
According to Key Club President, Rachel Tusia, “The boxes are filled with toys and common necessities for hygiene and are shipped to Haiti and Guatemala for children from newborns to 15-year-olds. You know we put on socks and brush our teeth everyday, but there are some people who need help with those basics.” Key Club packed 49 boxes with the goodies students brought in for the project and Rachel took them to a collection center in Gulf Shores. She says, "I would like to thank the students of St. Michael for bringing in items for Boxes of Joy.”
Anyone wishing to support this project can reimburse Key Club for the $9.00 necessary for shipping each of the boxes.
