This year, senior, Marguerite Cowles, was chosen as our Red Ribbon leader. The Drug Education Council selects outstanding students from Mobile & Baldwin County who represent the 6 pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring & citizenship. Monday, we kicked off Red Ribbon week by recognizing Margie Cowles.
Monday -Our guest speaker Jacy Werner talked to our students about the tragic loss of her brother due to a drug overdose of fentanyl. Jacy started the Benjamin Thomas Werner Foundation and she is helping others fight addiction. Jacy attended Saint Benedict Catholic school and St Michael the first quarter of her freshman year. We are proud of her and thankful she came back to talk to our students. @thebtwfoundation
Tuesday, was a great success with Mr. Jared Murray talking to the students. Jared is an amazing person with an amazing story and he has been drug and alcohol free for 12 years! There is no doubt Jared is living God‘s purpose for him and we’re thankful he shared his gift with us today!! Our students were so attentive and asked great questions!
Wednesday, was our mass day where we prayed for a safe and substance free student body.
Thursday, we dressed out in tropical themed clothing to "Lei" down drugs!
Finally on Friday during lunch we played games and celebrated being substance free!
