Ms. Emyle Mann is a Baldwin County native and a strong believer in cura personalis, the concept of developing one’s mind, body, and spirit. She incorporates this holistic approach into her teaching methods.
In 2022, Emyle graduated from Spring Hill College with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. During her undergraduate years, she served as a recitation instructor, assisting students in transitioning from high school to college-level math. She worked on course development for a social justice math course now offered at Spring Hill College and an adaptive version of a class for blind and visually impaired students in higher-level math. She also served as the president of the math club, striving to make math enjoyable for all students.
Continuing her academic journey, Emyle earned her master’s degree in mathematics from Florida State University in 2024, where she gained further experience as a calculus teaching assistant. She is now attending the University of West Alabama for her master’s in math education.
Ms. Mann will be teaching math, Algebra I, Honors Algebra I, AP Calculus AB.
