St Michael Welcomes New Wrestling Coach Adam Hicks for Inaugural Wrestling Season

Please welcome Coach Adam Hicks to St Michael as our fisrt ever wrestling coach. We are very lucky to have him to start the Wrestling program.

"I’m excited to bring the sport of wrestling to St Michael Catholic, and with it all of the many life lessons that this amazing and unique sport brings! I’ve been coaching high school wrestling in Alabama for the past 4 years accumulating a 99-26 record in that timeframe at 7A Baker HS in Mobile. Prior to coaching at the high school level, I’ve trained many amateur and professional Mixed Martial Arts fighters as the head competition Wrestling coach at Port City Combat Sports, also located in Mobile. Currently I have been preparing the only UFC fighter out of Pensacola, FL for his upcoming UFC 294 fight in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Before my coaching tenure in MMA and High School, I grew up wrestling in the state of Pennsylvania at the age of 5 years old and continued competing throughout my collegiate career, ending as a 2X NCWA All-American wrestler with over 100 collegiate victories against NCAA DI \ DII \ DIII \ NAIA \ and other NCWA competition."

St. Michael will hold wrestling evaluations on Sept 25 from 4-5:30 with a parent meeting immediately following.
