Lazzari Hired to Begin Alumni and Friends Magazine
St. Michael has hired Mrs. Jeanne Lazzari to assist the school in creating its first “Alumni and Friends” magazine, with the aim of publishing the first edition in the spring of 2020. She will work in a part-time capacity toward that end.
“I’ve gotten to know Jeanne these last four years as a very active parent volunteer, Booster Club leader and substitute teacher,” says Faustin Weber, school principal. “Most recently, she helped us by filing in for our Aegis program, giving Mrs. Stapleton time to make arrangements to become our permanent teacher. Jeanne is hard working, reliable and talented. I believe she can use her skills as an English teacher to help us publish a nice magazine, so as to keep our young alumni informed about their alma mater. We’re glad she’s with us!”
Lazzari. for her part, sees the purpose of the magazine quite clearly:
“Time is a thief! It’s hard to believe we are ready to begin something that includes a focus on our alumni at St. Michael. It feels like we just broke ground and opened our doors to the classes of 2019 and 2020. Now, in the blink of an eye, we have graduated the 2019 class and are in the process of graduating the 2020 class. In turn, these classes will, in a blink, be our community leaders, business leaders, medical professionals, attorneys, engineers, teachers, leaders of our church, husbands, wives, fathers, and mothers! Alumni are key stakeholders in St. Michael CHS, because their lives speak to the value of a STMCHS education, and because they animate the school’s mission in the world. I want this publication to explore the ways STMCHS students are making a difference as scholars, leaders, and disciples of Jesus Christ.”
Jeanne is married to “Vic,” her husband of 19 years. Their child, Anthony, is a senior at St. Michael. They worship at Christ the King parish in Daphne, Al.
