Kathy Barr--Finance Director

St. Michael is pleased to announce that Mrs. Kathy Barr has accepted the position of Finance Director for the 2019-2020 school year. She replaces Mrs. Kathy Lollis, who has taken a job with the Office of Catholic Education in Mobile. Mrs. Barr is currently the finance director of Christ the King, and will transition to St. Michael over the coming month. 

“We’re pleased Mrs. Barr has accepted our offer,” says Faustin Weber, St. Michael principal. “She comes highly recommended by Mr. Crain, principal of Christ the King, and is well regarded by the parish and school. We were blessed to have several excellent applicants, but we believe Kathy’s experience of running the financials for a school and her knowledge of archdiocesan payroll procedures and HR policies make her an ideal fit for us.” 

“With this announcement,” Weber continues, “I also want to take the opportunity to thank Kathy Lollis for her tremendous service to St. Michael. She was hired three years before the school opened to run the capital campaign,  and she’s handled every facet of our finances ever since, along with many other duties typical of a new school lacking administrative infrastructure. Everything she’s done here has been completed with extraordinary efficiency and grace. I consider her one of the true founders of St. Michael. “ 

Mrs. Barr, for her part, is excited about the opportunity that awaits: “I am grateful to become part of St. Michael, though I leave Christ the King with fond memories,  and will miss all those I’ve come to know as co-workers and friends. Even so, I look forward to becoming both an employee and parent as St. Michael continues to grow,  and as it continues to impact the faith community on the Eastern Shore. “

Kathy and her husband, Glenn, have 5 children: Bennett (25), Katherine (24), Robert (21), Murphy (18) and Clay (14). Clay begins at St. Michael this year as a ninth grader. They are members of Christ the King parish.
