About the Scholarship:
The “Maggie Robinson Scholarship Fund” began in 2020 to honor the memory of Margaret Jessica Robinson. Maggie died suddenly on June 30, 2014 at the age of 44. She lived in Daphne with her family, Deacon Bill and Sandy Robinson, as she courageously dealt with M.S. for her last fifteen years. She was a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and earned her Masters Degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
As a special-education teacher, Maggie worked with profoundly disabled young people. Through her witness and example, she encouraged those she met to see suffering as an opportunity for growth and holiness, once writing: "Inconvenience, difficulty and suffering can result in bitterness and discontent. They can also be a doorway to spiritual growth if we seek God in those moments. Ask God to release the power of the cross in your life."
Maggie was an active member of Christ the King Parish and a devoted volunteer, especially helping children suffering from cancer and autism.
