Faustin Weber, principal of St. Michael Catholic High School, is pleased to announce that he has hired Mrs. Marguerite Murphy to be the school’s first receptionist when the school opens in August, 2016. Mrs. Murphy is currently the receptionist for Christ the King elementary school in Daphne.
“We were blessed with a number of women interested in this position,” Weber explains, “and after interviewing many candidates, I believed we had several exceptional choices. In the end, we were particularly impressed by Mrs. Murphy’s optimism and quiet but confident professionalism, and believe she’ll be an excellent fit for a new school. The receptionist is the ‘first impression” of St. Michael for every person who calls or visits, and especially in our first year, it’s important we can find someone who can juggle many things while keeping ‘present’ to those she is serving. We think Mrs. Murphy will do that at St. Michael just as she has done at Christ the King, and I am grateful that Mr. Max Crain, Christ the King’s principal, has been supportive of Mrs. Murphy’s desire to pursue this position.”
Mrs. Murphy looks forward to the challenge before her: ”It is truly a blessing to be a part of Baldwin County’s Catholic history as St. Michael opens its doors this coming year. I can't wait to welcome each student and family as my wonderful Christ the King parish family unites with the other great schools and churches of the Eastern Shore."
Marguerite and her husband of twenty-five years, Nick, have 8 children: Madeleine (age 24), Nick (22), Gabe (21), Molly (17), Colette (15), Dominic (13), Louis (9 )and Timothy (7). They are members of Christ the King parish.
